Country Mice is a friendly village nursery in Cowfold, Horsham with charity status that was founded in 1975. Country Mice offers a range of sessions from 8:00-5:30 to cover all families needs. Country mice nursery is close to Lower Beeding, Crabtree, Maplehurst, Nuthurst, West Grinstead, Shermanbury, Monks Gate and Mannings Heath.  Country Mice nursery also offers the 30 hours funding  and is available across all sessions.

Country Mice originally operated from the Village Hall in Cowfold, but with the help and support of parents and friends in 1992, we are now extremely privileged to possess our own purpose-built classroom, a newly   refurbished garden creating an amazing outdoor learning environment for the children to access in all weathers. We are also lucky to gave very own allotment next door to our nursery where we grow a variety of fruits and vegetables with the help of the children.

We are run by a voluntary committee of parents/volunteers, chaired by the head of the Nursery and is staffed by a team of qualified and experienced childcare practitioners. We invite volunteers with different skills to enhance the experience we offered to children: Gardeners from our community Horticultural Society, Julie from Church Mice, students and parents to share their skills.

We run a variety of sessions to offer flexibility for all families, these include  morning, afternoon and all day sessions for children from two years old to school age and offer funding for children aged 2 to 5. This includes the new introduction of 30 hours funding from September. Please contact the nursery head to discuss funding options.

We also offer a breakfast club and afterschool club for  all children attending our nursery and St Peter Primary School, Reception to Year 6-situated next to us.
