Country Mice Appoints New Head of Nursery

From Rachel Detnon, Chairperson Country Mice Committee

On behalf of the Committee, it’s with real pleasure that I announce the appointment of Mrs Aline Allsep to the newly created position of Head of Nursery, Country Mice Pre-school. Aline will be starting on the 12th June 2012.

Since moving from her native country of France in 2002, Aline has qualified at level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development and is currently studying at the University of Chichester working towards the Foundation Degree in Early Childhood.

For a number of years Aline has been associated with the West Sussex project “Every Child a Talker” and has qualified as an Early Language Lead Practitioner: supporting children with speech and communication. Aline is responsible for training and supporting settings across the whole of West Sussex as part of her role in the project and we know Country Mice will benefit greatly from her language experience.

A passionate, knowledgeable and experienced practitioner, Aline brings with her a fabulous skill set and a drive for excellence that will help see Country Mice thrive and develop further as a community service. Aline has a strong vision for Country Mice and aims to build closer links to Church Mice, St. Peters and the community at large.

Aline says:

“I am very thrilled and excited by this new role and looking forward to tackling the challenges ahead in the next 12 months and beyond. I have a strong driving force and long vision for Early Years education and you will find me very passionate and very determined to give young children the best start in life possible. As a mother of three children, I strongly believe that families should be at the heart of the nursery, and I look forward to seeing you there!

As I settle in, you’ll be hearing from me regularly and I fully encourage you to get involved- I rely on you to tell me what I need to do to deliver the kind of service you need”

Aline will also be taking on business responsibilities and will act to support the voluntary committee members of the Charity’s management team
